What did I accomplish in my business this week?

I finished reading The Ultimate Sales Letter this week and took notes in my second brain about what I learned. I started reading The Ultimate Marketing Plan too. The information that I glean from this year’s

I also finished another edit of Two Rivers, but I see numerous places where I need to improve the “show don’t tell”. This has probably been my most difficult novel to write. It might be because I had to incorporate 6 different journals and commentary into the story. That’s done. Now I have to finish turning that information into a story about two people who weren’t part of the true adventure.

I sold more on a Wednesday than I normally do on the weekend. I got a call from one of the vendors who sell my books locally (a campground, thinking outside the box here). They sold the book I wrote exclusively for the local market Oregon County, Wild and Scenic. I had sold five to them before and she asked for ten this time. I offered her encouragement to carry one of my other books (Ozarks-related) as well. I offered her five of them, but she took only two. Two more books than I would have sold if I had not made the offer to her. The book is one of my more popular ones so I’m sure she’ll want more in the future.
