When I was substitute teaching at the high school, I was watching one of the kids on his phone and I was thinking something very similar to this. People don't think any more. They absorb information. They don't play in the backyard, often the only exercise they get are the movement of the fingers. It's like that saying, "You will own nothing, and you will like it." I can see how that can be possible with the virtual world of the internet.
