We have a lot in common, Justine! I too live in a small hobby sized farm (paid off, car too) , have chickens, want goats, have a garden. I have cats rather than dogs. My neighbor across the road has a Great Pyrenes and she keeps "varmints' away from my flock of chickens. I sell at farmers' market a little bit of produce, cookies (lots of cookies) and the books I have written. Not a fortune, but enough to pay some of my food costs. It has been nice meeting you.
