It’s not about blame

How many times have you heard that you need to take responsibility for your actions when you know what the person saying it means that you need to take the blame for whatever had happened.

Taking responsibility is not about taking blame.

Response-ability Versus Reaction

Responding to a situation is different from reacting to it. As one of our first reactions, as stated above, is often looking for someone else to blame, but as we’ve already seen, accepting blame is not taking responsibility.

Taking responsibility is not about placing the blame on someone else.

Taking responsibility is not about making excuses for what happened. I’m sorry but I. . . Give Example

Reacting is an impulsive, emotional, and immediate response, and is often driven by anger or fear.It can be aggressive and fueled by emotions. Reacting weakens.

Responding is more thoughtful, deliberate, and involves considering options before taking action.responding is calm and helps resolve situations.
