Recently a cousin who I played with as a child died. He had just turned 61 this summer. I hadn't seen him in years, but in some ways it hit me just as hard as the deaths of my own parents, brother, and sister did. It seemed to bring the grief back up of losing the nearer relatives. Don't get me wrong, it's not depression I am feeling but sadness for the passing of a time long past.
