My Plans for the New Year
What are my latest and greatest plans for the coming year?
January is almost here! January was named after Janus, the Roman god of beginnings and transitions. Janus presided over doors and gates, an appropriate description of the beginning of the year. The term originated from Middle English and ultimately derives from the Latin noun use of Jānuārius.
January is all about looking back at the past and looking ahead to the future. Last week, I shared my evaluation of this past year and shared my best blog posts for the year. Today, I am sharing my writing goals for 2025
Discontinuing The Perpetual Homesteader
In 2024, my word of the year was focus and during the year I focused on writing books (I finished three and edited most of another). Last week I wrote about looking back over 2024. This week, I am reviewing my plans for 2025. This year I am getting even more focused.
Based on the performance of my two blogs, I have decided to discontinue weekly postings of The Perpetual Homesteader. There are other reasons, but I won’t go into them here. I’ll be leaving the blog posts up, I may add more posts when I feel that it’s something that I want to do, I just won’t be adding posts every week.
