I know first hand (maybe second hand actually) how valuable vaccines are. My father had polio just before the polio vaccine came out and walked all his life with a limp. My mother had whooping cough when she was seven and was deaf because of it. My aunt had Rubella while pregnant with my cousin and my cousin ended up with vision problems that made her legally blind. Yes, I got the vaccines and so did my kids and so will their kids.
