I have been learning two languages for the past couple of years. One is Spanish and the other is Swedish I am using the Duolingo app on my phone and laptop to help me learn. My aunt learned Swedish as a child because her parents both spoke English and Swedish in the home. (English was my grandfather's second language, Swedish his first.) My aunt didn't realize that they were different languages because her parents mixed words and she had some difference in school because of it. All that to say that sometimes it's better to learn a language as an adult rather than a child. I am a senior citizen so I agree with you that you can learn a language at any age.
