I had to purchase a refrigerator when mine broke down. In the past, I would have bought a used one, but I was able to purchase a new one WITH CASH. We have paid cash for our (used) vehicles for over 20 years now. We also paid cash for our home. (It's not in the best of neighborhoods, but we're not in debt!)
