The Big Takeaway for Week 10 of the 12-Week Year

Here we are, already finishing the tenth week! How time flies!

This week is about getting everything done in preparation for Friday and Saturday when I had a huge festival to attend. Also, my sons got together with me for lunch on Wednesday creating some pressure on getting my weekly project completed. This law states that anything we do will fill up the time that we allot to it. I did this with the marketing emails that I have been sending every week. In it, I share about Gourmet Weeds.

Focused Marketing

Currently, in my marketing process, I am locating potential customers and adding them to an online document, and then sending the email. I have been doing 5 per day every weekday. This week, I tried something different. I set an alarm on Monday and did as many emails as possible during that hour. I did the same on Tuesday and finished all 25 in two hours over two days. Parkinson’s Law in all it’s glory! I was able to do something in 2 hours that used to take me five hours to complete.

I have been taking notes from the book The Ultimate Sales Letter by Dan S. Kennedy. Some of it seems dated because it focuses more on direct mail rather than online info, but the information it provides is noteworthy. The same principles used when…
