Finally Another Book In My Historical Fiction Series

Book VII of the Locket Saga is ready to be released!

Finally, after 7 years since I published The Anvil, I have completed Book VII of the Locket Saga. Now available as an eBook and coming out in paperback on October 1, 2024.

How the Locket Saga Began

People often ask where I get my ideas for my books. The Locket Saga series started from a dream that I had long ago. In that dream, I saw a young man and a young woman sitting on a half-log bench in front of a log wall. Both were dressed in clothes from the American Revolutionary period or slightly before.

The young woman asked the young man if they had met before and he looked closer at her and told her that they had met when they were children.

That was about all there was to the dream, but that dream was the inspiration for Soldiers Don’t Cry, the Locket Saga Continues, the Second Book in the Locket Saga.

Many people don’t know that Soldiers Don’t Cry was the book I started writing first, but then as I wrote the first draft, I realized that there was a story before that one, so I published When God Turned His Head in 2010 before I published Soldiers.
