Easily Clean Your Microwave and Coffeemaker
Impress your mother (or mother-in-law) by using just vinegar and water to clean both your microwave and coffeemaker. Here’s how.
Clean Your Microwave the Easy Way.
All you need to do this is a bowl with a half cup (120 milliliters) of water and add about a tablespoon (15 milliliters) of vinegar. Have some cloth or paper towels handy. Some people would do the bowl of water without the vinegar, but I find that the vinegar neutralizes the microwave smells. After this process that I am about to share, you’ll have a microwave that is as sweet smelling as the day it was new.
To clean the microwave, put the bowl of water with the vinegar added into the microwave. Now turn on the microwave for about a minute. The water will steam up the inside of the microwave. DO NOT open the microwave door until the steam disappears. Allow the steam to saturate the walls of the microwave. This should take about ten minutes. Now wipe the inside of the microwave with your cloth or paper towel. Remove and clean the glass turntable separately. You may want to run water over the turntable if it is especially dirty. If the microwave still isn’t clean enough, put the turntable back in and repeat the process.
