Have you been thinking about writing a book? Eighty-five percent of people say that they want to write a book and often that book is nonfiction, but only one percent ever do. Not everyone should write a nonfiction book. Perhaps you’re one of those people, There are times when you shouldn’t write a nonfiction book. Here are a few reasons why you shouldn’t.

1. You’ll miss spending time with your friends.

Your friends are important to you. If you spend your time writing a book, you won’t have time to be with those other losers who complain every day that their lives are going nowhere. It wouldn’t be fair to them if you wrote a nonfiction book that made you a lot of money. Who would be willing to be your friend then?

2. You’ll have to organize your life so that you can work on the book every day.

Who wants to organize their time so they have time to write? You sure don’t. Life needs to stay spontaneous. Being organized is boring. It’s much more fun living paycheck to paycheck and never thinking about the future. Who needs a future where goals get met and there’s money left in the bank at the end of the month?

3. You’ll have to stop binge-watching television.
