Excellence is the name of the game this year and having an excellent blurb on that self-published book you wrote this year is one of those areas where excellence is key to not only providing a book description that makes people want to read your book, but also is a fantastic marketing tool.

I have read countless memes and stories about people who are self-publishers who once they have written their book, feel overwhelmed by the idea of writing their book blurb. I have found a way to write book blurbs that is far less painful.

A book blurb if you don’t know, is the information found online or on the back cover of the printed book that tells what the book is about.

What are the Elements of a Book Blurb?

In fiction, A blurb usually includes the characters, conflicts, genre, and elements of interest. This is always a good place to start your blurb and your book as well so why not do them at the same time.
